Column glossary
A cross-panel reference for the columns you'll see in Leaderboard, Laps, Pits and Stints, Overtake, Fastest Laps, and the other data-grid panels - what each one means and how to read its highlighting. See each panel page for the full column list specific to it; this page covers the meanings and conventions shared across more than one.
Color conventions
- Purple - class best (the fastest value for this column among cars in the same class)
- Green - the car's own best (this value beats that car's previous best)
- Sparkline "Trend" columns (± to Green in Overtake) - blue = faster than the class's Green Lap Time, orange = slower, gray = a pit in/out lap, excluded from the calculation
- Fastest Laps' Show Deltas to Hero heat map - green shading, deeper the bigger the gap, on sectors where a car beats the hero; cells equal to or slower than the hero aren't shaded
Position and identity
- P - overall position
- CP - class position
- C - car number
- Class, Grp - car class and, where a series has one, class group
- Veh - vehicle/manufacturer
- Lic - driver's license rating
- Stat - car status (running, in the pits, stopped, and so on)
Gaps and intervals
Computed client-side from lap-crossing epochs (P1.GapData), not passed
through from AKS V2's own gap fields - those degrade to a bare lap count as
soon as a car is a lap down, exactly when the gap matters most. See
Compare for why "authoritative rather than calculated" data
matters here.
- Int - on-track time interval to the car directly ahead
- Gap - on-track time gap to the leader of the displayed set (not necessarily the overall leader, if the grid is filtered to a class)
- ±Gap - signed time gap to the hero car:
−ahead of the hero,+behind. Used in Leaderboard, Overtake, and the Hero Gap Chart (whose chart axis is inverted so "ahead" still draws visually higher, even though the underlying stored value is negative). - A car that's off track - in the pits or stopped - shows a status icon
instead of a number in
Int,Gap, and±Gap, rather than a stale or misleading value.
Lap and sector times
- Last Lap Tm - the most recently completed lap time
- Best Lap Tm - the car's fastest lap time this session; purple if it's also the class's fastest
- Theor Tm - the car's theoretical best lap: the sum of its own best individual sector times, a lap it has never actually driven but could. Purple when it's the class's best theoretical.
- Est Tm - the projected time for the lap currently in progress: sectors already completed this lap, plus the car's best-lap sectors for the parts not yet run. Green when it would beat the car's own best lap.
- Per-track Sector (
S1,S2, …) and Micro-Sector columns - purple when a sector time is the class's fastest, green when it's the car's own fastest; a sector's time also counts toward that car'sTheor Tmwhen it's the car's personal-best for that sector - Trap / Best Trap - current lap's trap (speed-trap) speed, and the car's best trap speed this session; purple = class's fastest, green = car's own fastest
- TL - track limits flag on that lap
Pit and stint columns
- #P - number of pit stops so far
- Pit In / Pit Out - time of the car's most recent pit-in / pit-out
- P Ln - time spent in pit lane, ticking up live while the car is in and freezing once it's back on track
- L Stnt - laps completed in the current stint
- In Lap - the lap number the car last pitted on
- L-1 / L (Pits and Stints) - laps in the previous stint / laps in the current stint
Pace and prediction
Used in Overtake:
- Pace - the car's average lap time over the configured number of pace laps
- ±Pace - how much faster (▲, bad for the hero) or slower (▼, good for the hero) a car's pace is, compared to the hero's own pace
- +ETA (h:m:s) - a naive prediction of when an overtake happens, based on the current pace trend: for a car ahead, when the hero catches it if it's slower; for a car behind, when it catches the hero if it's faster
- ± to Green - a sparkline trend relative to the class's configured Green Lap Time (see Pits and Stints settings); see the color conventions above
More detail per panel
This page covers what's shared. For the columns unique to one panel - like Fastest Laps' Show Deltas to Hero mode or Track Order's optional rows - see that panel's own page.
